Microsoft has issued a security alert to Xbox Live users. It says phishers may attempt to steal users' data. Phishers are targeting those playing Modern Warfare 2. The attacks come through the site's multiplayer matchmaking process. Phishers are growing more sophisticated. They're now launching targeted attacks.

I think Microsoft usually charges a $5.99 monthly fee to sign up & access the XBox 360 Live so that the kids can play games online w/other kids. You can also buy cards at Walmart for this which are for like 30 days, 3 mos., etc. up to 12 mos.
But alot of people use their credit or debit cards & this is where the big security risk would come in if someone's hacking into the accounts. :(
And I think it would be the same for the PlayStation 3's & any other game machine that has the capabilities to play games online.
