For example, if you decide to get rid of Norton's and replace it with AVAST. You would need to make sure you TOTALLY REMOVE Norton's from your computer. You do not just remove the program from your Programs Listings on your computer and then install AVAST. You will have issues with conflicting with each one of them, until you finally removed Norton's from your computer. There is a Removal Tool for Norton's you need to use and it is on their web site and also use CCleaner that removes all junk files, cookies, etc. etc from your computer. CCleaner will remove any old registry keys from Norton's that is left behind. Over the years working on computers, I've seen so many people just deleting the installing another Anti-Virus or Firewall, or really any program and installing a new one without making sure everything from the old programs are Totally Removed from their computers. Computers are like cars, if YOU do not maintain them properly, sooner or later they will break down. All three of my computers run like a brand new. Two are well over 8 years old and my newest one is only 6 months old which some one had it before me and totally destroyed it and did not want it anymore. But now it is like brand new again, no problems at all. 12|3|thanks for the info|padrifter|candles@nb.net|18:28:52|04/27/2011|
