7|1|send ehis address please Sandy.|dlpavitt|dlpavitt@att.net|18:19:14|04/26/2011|hi all, a couple of weeks ago i posted about my near 83 year old dad who was just learning to text and was using "lol" for "lots of love"! well, today is his birthday and he's a little down. he's the "baby" of 14 children and believe it or not there's still 4 of them living. he just lost a sister (my aunt mary - who was closest in age to him) about a month ago to cancer. he's sitting and thinking about the "good times" and, i think, missing his large family. at any rate i didn't anticipate him being so sad today and didn't plan a card shower ahead of time but think it would be a good idea. he'd love to sit around and open happy mail and it would occupy his mind. if anyone could send a card i would sure appreciate it.
like i said, he's 83 today. he was in the marines as a young man ... until kids started coming and then finished up his time in the marines and became a truck driver. that's what he retired from. when i was a kid he drove for a company called donruss - they were the mfg of that bubble gum called super bubble - remember that. we always had it at the house ... man was i the most popular kid on the block. back in the day he was an avid cb'er (the shadow was his handle). he had an awesome sense of humor that is still as sharp today as it ever was - his favorite comedian is carl hurly (he's sort of a christian stand up comedian and actually pretty funny). and OMG ice cream is his favorite food group - he could eat it every meal if we'd let him.

thanks ~ he's going to be so excited. he really is 83 but he's always acted like "the baby" whatever that means (i'm the youngest in the family, too). when i was little SEVERAL times a week mom (who was the oldest in her family) would say, "DON'T ever marry the baby!". i think that was the first sentence i ever spoke ... anyway, he will have fun opening cards so GREAT BIG THANKS! 5|3|send me his naz|angNC|memawang@nc.rr.com|14:33:55|04/26/2011|
