Hi all,
Having a rummage sale this Saturday. I need pricing advice. I want to make money, but not put too much on my items and scare people away. Looking for input.

I have:
like-new plus size clothing for men and women. Some still new, in package.
new purses. Barely used purses.
new health and beauty items all sizes (full size to sample size)
shampoo, shavers, toothpaste, toothbrushes, etc.
lots of scented candles new and barely used
barely used patio chairs and folding camping chairs
lots of sticker sets, stationary, greeting cards.
some barely used christmas items: lights, bulbs, skirts
barely used kitchen items: Cookware, tupperware-type
some romance books from like-new to pretty-beat-up condition

lmk what sells good for you guys, and the prices.

Thanks much for any help!

i do books at 25c each unless they are hard back then they are 50c
toothpaste and toothbrushes are 1.00 cuz they can get them for 1.00 at some stores
shampoo depending on how expensive in store i maybe half the price so like 4.00 is 2.00
razors depends on prices also in the store

please include your user name on refundsweepers.
i appreciate all the trades made in the past.

everybody loves a clearance table
you can add stuff during the day that is not moving too
i always have a dollar clearance table & the stuff is swooped up instantly
put a sign on it too because the "drive byes" will stop too if they see the sign on the table

toothpaste and toothbrushes...i normally do 1.00 each of 6 for 5.00 mix or match..however, this year i seem to have a ton of the cheaper types of colgate and crest, so will probably do 3 for 2.00 on them....and then the 1.00 each for the better types..

rszors...good disposables(3 blade and up) 2.00 each

razors..good non disposable 3.00 each(except bic soleil and hydro 3/5...they do not do as well 2.00 each...if people ask for blades, tell em to buy several of the razors...works out cheaper than buying the blades new..fusion 4 pks are 14.00 or so for blades...

shampoo...i generally go 3 for 2.00 on cheaper(suave, vo5 etc, or oddball stuff)...better stuff..pantene etc i go 3/5.00

christmas stuff is never big seller for me

candles..sunny day, keep em shaded..have learned the hard way

patio furniture, summer furniture...not sure where you are located, but i would say 1/3rd of retail, 1/2 of it if you are near shore area etc that that can use for rentals etc(or a camping destination...

books..i agree with Lydz...

do not remember what else you have listed...hth...J

Good Luck!!

we might even have some 8-tracks laying around! lol!

Melinda 5|2|If you really want to get rid of the 'obsolete' stuff like cassettes and VHS, put them all in one box (for each) and sell them as a lot....I sold a box of about 25 VHS for $6....it went quick :)|saint6811|waylan@comcast.net|12:08:46|04/26/2011|
