1|1|I had a discount from my grocery store so "only" paid $3.33 a gallon. so for $90 my car got filled and the van was slightly over half a tank. How depressing|Kristy|mi3zons1@yahoo.com|16:04:17|04/24/2011|

I would have put more in but the gas station had a cap of $90 and I didn't know it.

I was driving an Expedition and it was KILLING me gas-wise. I'd spend $65 a week and not even be able to fill it up and be driving on fumes day before payday. It got 12 mpg city.

I have three kids so we kinda justified having it for the room. We'd have friends with us alot, too. But we just cannot afford the cost to drive it.

We traded it in and bought a 2006 Nissan Altima. Fits 5 (just enough room for our family) so we won't be able to take friends with us, but Man! That car sips the gas! Lovin' it! It gets 24 mpg city!

6|4|My minivan isnt terrible, about 22 mpg...and DH's Caliber gets about 30 mpg, so if we have to go out of town, we take that....smaller and 'cozier' but for the mileage difference, we can deal.|saint6811|waylan@comcast.net|17:48:04|04/24/2011|

But my van is a 20 gal tank, so about $80 to fill it up today....DH's car is about 15 gal, so $60 to fill it up....and DH and I seem to need to fill up around the same day....gets pricey all at once :(

My van's not that hard on gas but not as easy on it as my car was. A full tank in the car would last a month vs about 2-3 wks. in my van.
But the price of gas AND groceries both hurt since food prices go up when gas does. :(
I'm taking my bike in this coming week to get the tires replaced & that'll have to be my main mode of transportation for short trips around town. As long as we don't get anymore creepy snow. Poo!

it won't cost too much to fill. Ours is at $3.89. I have a Jeep & hubby has a dodge ram truck. I seen on TV. it could go as far as $6.00 a gallon. That's really crazy, since it was a $1.84 when Obama went into office. He can do something about this & won't! People need to protest at the capital. They do for other things, why not the gas prices.

It will go higher-you bet it hurts to fill up. I have been putting in 20.00 at a time so I don't feel the pinch..OUCH!

I didn't hear 6.00 a gallon as a possibility but its possible and definitely sad..for all of us..Hope it doesn't happen..(sigh/sob) :(

20|3|Yes, projected to reach $6 a gallon this summer.....we arent even taking a vacation this year as air fare is ridiculous, gas is too much to drive somewhere....and it would be my boys' last year with us really, as they graduate next May. :(|saint6811|waylan@comcast.net|10:58:58|04/25/2011|

I can see it putting a big damper on even some of the enjoyable summer activities such as mowing lawn. Might have to buy myself a couple of goats. :-p
ETA: Just thought of something - if I get a couple goats, I'd have free lawn mowing, free milk &/or cheese (not too gung-ho about goat cheese tho. LOL) & free fertilizer for my garden. :D All-around a gravy idea, eh? LOL
