My husband bought a few things in Walgreens that were on sale when he went to the checkout
to pay for the items he ws over charge the sales tax was on the orginally price not what he paid
Is this right ? He asked the sales cleck and clerk respaonse was "you pay the sales tax on the orginally price"
The question is what gets tax the orginally price thatit was before sale or what you paid for at register

I think it should be what you paid for 1|1|I have no idea, I haven't checked my receipts from there..|HONEY11|HONEY1@AMERITECH.NET|14:56:29|04/17/2011|

I guess the best way to get a answer is to call their head office and ask.

be they store coupons or manufacturer coupons, it doens't matter, but if the item is on sale, with no coupon required, then the sales tax should only be on the SALE price of the item not the original price. HTH

I get charged tax on the price that the item rings in. If you have coupons, it doesn't change the tax.

At Rite Aid, there are certain store coupons that will affect the tax, but I can't remember if this happens at Waggs.

HTH. 4|1|In CT, we get taxed on the price after coupons, but I believe it varies by state, but not 100% sure on that. Donna|dlpavitt|dlpavitt@att.net|16:14:48|04/17/2011|

If you are a HONEST trader, there is nothing to fear in having a feedback link. If you do not have one, please set one up, BEFORE contacting me for a trade. If you insist on not having a feedback link, please do not contact me to trade. Feedback links protect all of us, on RS. Thanks for understanding.
