Just over a year ago we dealt with it here in high point and had to take cover again today ... luckily no damage major damage this time!
However my mom lives in Farmville and they got hit hard!!! But she is ok .. the andys across the street from her and other areas behind it werent so lucky... That was to close for comfort for me and had me freaking out for awhile.
Raleigh got it pretty good too (around sanford?) i know you arent to far from there, so hope you are good as well!
If you dont stand behind our troops, feel free to stand in front of them!

the tornadoes hit hard all around us and just 2 streets over it is total devastation as well as behind us also and it seems to be a area about 1/2 mile wide and just goes forever all the way down to Bertie County which is over 100 miles from here and that is where my 2 brothers live but they are all fine and no damage. That was some scary stuff and just about the time that we saw on TV that it was hitting Buffaloe Road we lost power so we just took cover in the house because that is right where we are. Shelley was at work in Cary and tornadoes all around her but the hospital was spared and all of the rest of her family was here with us. We are all very blessed to have escaped this with no damage as we all know tornadoes do not choose their victims but it is so sad to see all the trees on top of houses and power lines in the street and people just walking around in a daze.
Susan Sanders should be fine as the area where she lives was not in the line of storms--they had wind and rain but nothing like what we had.

we were spared but miles from here they were not. so scary adn my heart goes out to the ones who have damage and my prayers are with them.
