The kids and I hit the farmers market this morning. I'm amazed at how cheap everything is there! I'm going every weekend! The kids had fun picking out fruit and veggies too. Won't hurt them to eat healthier. I'm hoping this gives them some more interest in the fresh foods.
We picked up:
3 Huge Green Peppers 3/$1
2 Huge Cucumbers 2/$1
5 Large Tomatoes $2
6 Corn on the Cob $2
1 Whole Watermelon $5
6 Oranges $2 (and the lady threw in a extra tangerine for my daughter because she wanted both!)
Heck! I would be paying well over $5 just for the tomatoes in the store! I already had strawberries and bananas or I would have picked up some of those!
