My sister & bil (the one w/the cancer) are in Ft. Lauderdale, FL as we speak. They flew down yesterday to visit w/their daughter & sil for a week, thanks to the awesome generosity of my bil's sister & bil. :) My bil got a month break from the chemo & the oncologist had told him & my sister that week before the benefit to take a vacation while they can. When my bil's bil heard this, he sent them a check to pay for their round-trip air fare & a little extra for them to go to Ft. Lauderdale, & also since my bil's never flown in a plane before, & told him to come back w/a tan & ocean-washed hair. LOL
I was thinking I should've stowed away in their luggage! Waaaaa! LOL
My bil starts his 3rd round of chemo a week from this coming Weds. (will be the 13th) & altho I'm sure he's not looking forward to more chemo & feeling crappy from it, he's been doing really well & eating any & everything, many things he hasn't been able to eat in about a year! The last scans he had the week before the benefit showed that the chemo has shrunk one of the tumors on his liver (he has 2 on it) & has shrunk the largest tumor in his esophagus from the size of a fist down to the size of a pea! :)
Please keep the prayers coming that the chemo continues to shrink not only those tumors but ALL of them. :)
