Would like opinions on this trade. A trader wrote to make a trade on 3/6 - I mailed my end out on 3/7 and she was to send cash. I wrote to the trader on 3/18 saying I haven't received her end of trade - no answer. Wrote again on 3/22 and again no answer. So I reported her to Garnette. When she received Garnette's email, she wrote to me asking why I reported her. Told her I didn't received her end of the trade and she didn't answer my 2 emails. She said the emails were in spam and asked for my paypal addy since the first trade must of "gotten lost". I sent her my paypal info and several days later she wrote and said there is a problem with her paypal account and she will just RETURN the coupons to me since she hasn't used them - I think this is so wrong - I made the trade in good faith and she wants to return the coupons after 3 weeks! Need your thoughts on this. **There also was another complaint on her on Garnette's email.

There was a trade made,,,you sent coupons in "good faith" with the understanding she would send you payment thru snail mail.....Yes things do get lost in the mail (Im still waiting on forms that I traded for on the 17th of March)BUT when you went the extra step and sent emails.... NO RESPONSE....then reported....it wasnt until they received Garnettes email THEN you received a response.....THEN waited for Paypal and that didnt happen either.....THATS BULLPOOP!!!!!!

You settled on a trade in good faith that she would make good on her end regardless of where your emails went to, her SPAM folder isn't YOUR fault. She owes you the money and its her problem to get rid of the coupons she agreed to pay you.. If we let this sort of thing happen, we are opening a whole can of worms for all sorts of stuff like this. MY OPINION.

but if I consider the trade already finalized, then I always pay and go through with it and then either try to retrade them or RAOK them. I just made a trade this weekend for something I had totally forgotten I had already ordered from another trader...... did I email the new trader and tell her I didn't want the items anymore? Nope! It's not her fault, it's mine. I'll simply retrade them when they arrive.

i, too, have screwed up and over ordered etc, and i would never consider asking one of the traders to take something back....that is my responsibility to handle it

Since the trade is past the 2 wk. period which is the required time to wait to file a complaint, it is considered a bad trade. And it is now up to Geri on what she finds acceptable for the trade to be satisfied.
Whether Geri accepts the overdue $$$ for the coupons or if she'll accept the return of the coupons (postage reimbursed of course) it is up to Geri as she is the one owed.
This is how I've always understood it to be - when a trade has gone bad, it is up to the GOOD trader who is owed a trade to decide what she is/isn't willing to accept to satisfy the trade.
I also agree that if the other trader has since realized she overtraded or didn't need the coupons after all, it's too late after a trade's been finalized. The other trader will just have to "eat" them or try to re-trade them to someone else if Geri doesn't want them back.
This happened to me a couple yrs. ago w/some forms I traded to a lady - it was a couple days or so after the trade was finalized & I'd already mailed the forms out to the lady when she THEN decided she didn't want the forms after all if she couldn't find the product in her area. NOT my problem or responsibility to know what products are sold where. I realize now that I probably shouldn't have but I allowed her to return the forms to me & I returned her trade back to her. But I won't trade w/that person anymore as the whole trade was quite a rigamarole.

Please identify yourself in 1st email w/name/username. Due to recent problem trades, if I haven't traded w/you before, I will probably require you send your end 1st or I'll need LEGIT trade references/feedback. I will be happy to provide the same. IF you plan to hold your end til you've received mine, I will need to know that IMMEDIATELY, BEFORE trade is finalized.
