hi when i want a snack at night i eat sugar free or no sugar added ice pops . i chop them in 3rds and suck on one piece at a time . i also put my snack bars in the frigerator and sometime i freeze them they take longer to eat than. i akso like dill and sour pickles, i just take a bite out of one and it holds me over for a while, good luck 2|2|I eat a piece of fruit or cup of yogurt and also drink a glass of water after.|sarahjones|beautiful1000000@gmail.com|16:42:50|03/27/2011|

I take a glass of Metamucial at night when I am feeling hungry, also have a glass before a meal, the fiber makes your stomach feel full, you lose weight as you don't feel hungry, plus having a diet high in fiber(supplement or foods) is good for you.Fiber clings to any fat in your system and it is passed out of the body,thus helps lower cholesterol too..I lost 20 pounds in 2 months and didn't really need to lose weight but I feel better skinny, and have kept the pounds off. **If I feel like eating something, I have fresh fruit, salad, baked potato topped with home made plain yogurt(instead of sour cream), nuts etc..No diet plan I just make healthy food choices, a lot of fruit, veggies, seafood...very little meat and eating lots of fiber.

Hubby's Dr put him on a 5 times a day eating plan (I'm doing it too) and we LUV IT! We're almost never hungry because our day starts around 7am and we have breakfast between 8:30 and 9:30 and then every 2 - 2 1/2 we eat something. That means there's room for a snack later in the evening when most people get hungry. The meals are MUCH smaller than "normal meals" and usually average between 100 and 500 calories. We have stopped eating ALL bleached or enriched food products and anything with sugars above 9g per serving (other than the occasional splurge). Perhaps something like this might help you? GL! :)

If I have the snacks in between meals than I don't get that hungry, my last meal for the day is around 8:00 p.m. and I stay up till 5- 6 a.m. waiting for bf to get home from work, so that is a long time to be up without food, so no meals during those hours only healthy snacks, or metamucial..or sometimes both..

As a gastric bypass patient, I have learned to have 5 "eating episodes" a day (well, okay, most days!!!). The more protein you have in your snacks, the longer before you will be hungry again. I have just discovered Chobani greek yogurt and it is FILLING with lots of protein. Sometimes I'll have a shrimp cocktail or oatmeal made with milk.

Of course... there are those potato chip nights also... but if you make most of your eating episodes healthy, you can afford a bad night now and then. 9|2|anyone find a greek yogurt thats not bitter? The last 2 I tried were really bitter|KELLYNEISH|KELLYNEISH@AOL.COM|20:38:02|03/28/2011|

those two seem less tart than other brands, just stir it really well. 12|3|You can make your own using regular (fat free if you want) yogurt....put some cheesecloth over a bowl, secure with a rubber band. Spoon the yogurt into the cheesecloth, cover loosely with plastic wrap or another piece of cheesecloth and let set in the fridge for about a day....takes the liquid out to get that thicker, creamier consistency ...and much cheaper too! :)|saint6811|waylan@comcast.net|21:47:41|03/28/2011|
