Haley and another girl tripped over each other in gym today...
they both fell..haley ended up in the Emergency Room...ankle broke in 2 places.
we go to the specialist tomorrow. : (
she is so sad and upset with herself..
she is a runner....and just started cross country track...she is so upset..
and she was crying so hard on the way to the emergency room..she said the other
kids were laughing at her...and they laughed because they took her away in a wheelchair..
I was so upset and hurt..I told her atleast they weren't taking her away in a bodybag.
geez...life has really been a struggle for me lately..I'm trying to keep it all together..
but just when is life too much??? I'm serious...sometimes, I just can't deal with things..
and I know this is an accident..and I'm so thankful that it's not more serious.. BUT
the one thing she does like to do run and actually gets out of the house to do..and now she can't.
Sigh...another day...

3|1|It is so rough to hear this....I went through this with Cody in Dec of 2009, he was hit from the side in football and tore his MCL in his knee...surgery and 6 months of rehab to get him back on the field. Kids are such jerks sometimes, the physical pain she was in, plus the disappointment of knowing she wont be in track for the rest of the season was enough for her to deal with, they should be ashamed of themselves for making fun of her....grrrrrr. ETA: Cody's injury happened 3/4 of the way into football season, but it was in Dec of 2009 that he had his surgery....so it was about 8 or 9 months of him worrying about not being ready to play again for the next season....tell Haley to hang in there, she will be ok, and can participate next year and after! :)

nah..not really..I don't do pills lol...
neither does she..so this was a big accomplishment..
i broke it in half...and it took her 15 minutes to get the courage
to take it. so hopefully, she'll fall asleep for a little bit..
she's in a lot of pain right now...and being the mom..i'm crying right
along with her... WAH

The doctor cannot believe her ankle broke like this colliding with another kid??
He asked if she was a big girl and haley's like NO...the doctor said. "wow"..
But after a long, stressful morning, we are going to get a CT scan at 1:00.
He believes she'll have to have surgery for sure, and he's saying wednesday or thursday.
Haley is upset...he did give her something for anxiety.. we're not big on taking pills
so this is a challenge...but I just gave her, her first one..so we'll see if that helps.
It one helps her..I'll try two. : ) MAN...I am seriously looking for a new, deeper,
rock to crawl under...I left haley on the bench in front of the hospital to go get the
car..and once I was out of her sight..I just broke down and couldn't quit crying...
I'm trying to hold everything in...and out of sight from everyone..I just lose it. It's so
hard to try and contain your composure back in 3 to 4 minutes...doesn't help that I look like
one of those KISS rockers with my mascara everywhere...SIGH....SO..when's is LIFE suppose to get better??

my daughter was 15yrs just outside my parnets yard we have an old swing when she just say down on it fell to the ground less that 30'inches from the ground she broke her ankle in two parts
they had to put 2 pins in it on each side went through surgery ( and she is not a big girl just tall) it was just the way she landed on her ankle sounds the same way Haley went
You need time for yourself to cry just be strong for her I know you can you know you can.

I so fell you, it's horrible when these things just keep happening. The last thing I needed was for daughter & grandbabies to have to move back in with me, but you do what you have to do & it will be ok. My daughter stepped off the side of the road & her foot slipped & it broke 2 bones in the top of her foot. We went through a solid year of doctors & specialist & surgeries & electrical shock treatments & casts & etc. & etc. So I know how you feel. She loved playing softball but that was out for the season. It will be ok.
