For your info....this is for those doing Down the Lbs. diet if interested! I mostly follow the Atkins/Mediterranean Diet (low carbs/high protein) which I've had very good success losing weight following these diets. My biggest downfall was snacking at night eating crackers w/cheese or potato chips which I've now replaced drinking iced tea w/stevia-xylitol, plus taking organic virgin coconut oil twice a day has curbed my appetite as well. I do not have cookies/donuts/cakes/candy in the house. I do have several Atkins bars I have occasionally. After reading several books on diets/nutrition, etc., I know what I have to do, it's a matter of sticking to it and realize this is a lifestyle change for life. It's OK to have ice cream, cookie occasionally not everyday like most people, plus watch your portions is important too! Good luck to those doing Down the Lbs. diet!! Sharon:)

I myself go by these rules for a diet.

Small portions, but I do not watch the calories or the fat intake. Instead I concentrate on getting fat in my diet
everyday and eat alot of veggies (fresh and/or frozen) and just a few fruits. The fruits have enough sugar without
having to add. So no canned fruits..Zip on that part. I do snack, but not alot. I eat strawberres plain, and sometimes
add just a little raw cream. YUM I do not do any canned veggies unless they are ones I canned myself. No dry
cereals either. I also eat only the whole milk yogurt. I do not eat low fat, fat free, skim milk, etc products.
I do try to do grass fed meats at least once a day, plus also do organ meats once a week. Beef & chicken broth with every
meal (homemade) and of course my fermented saurkraut. Helps eat whatever bad bacteria I have in the gut.

I have never had a weight issue, but have always never eaten until I am full. I think that is the # one key, is to not
eat to that point , but rather eat just until you are satified.

I do not eat alot of breads, pasta, potatoes and NO CORN, unless it is GMO free. All of these break down into sugar once they
are eaten.

I have at least one to two eggs a day and try to do one smoothie a day. Plus take supplements, but not the syntetic
only try to do the whole food supplements. That is a whole different topic.

And "yes" I love my coconut oil. Does wonders at keeping me satisfied without having snacks inbetween meals , plus it
gives me more energy.

There are also other factors to consider as , good dental health. You lose alot of vitamins from your gums if not
healthy. There is a way to help get your teeth and gums better which is called Oil Pulling. Not sure if you have
heard of this or not???? I have been wanting to do this. Mainly it pulls all the toxins out of your body thru
your gums. Once you do this, then the supplements & vitamins that you are taking will stay with you and not be
depelted.

Sorry for going on & on. :) Just my thoughts about dieting. In the morning I weigh 119 and at night I weigh in
at 124. I have never weighed over 125 . But like I said, I do not count calories or fat. I eat what I want
but just smaller portions. When I am done eating I am still hungery, but after about half an hour I am just fine.

Some days I eat more than the 2 tablespoons of coconut oil, especially on colder days. :)
Oh, Sharon, I found some spelt pretzels you may want to check out. They aren`t too bad. The bag is a smaller
bag, and I only eat about 10 to 15 at one time. I am no way a big eater to begin with. Right now the only
sweetner I use is raw honey.
