My son complained of abdominal pain at the ER two weeks ago. The doctor pressed on his stomach and it hurt around his belly button.My DH told the doctor the he himself had an emergency appendectomy at the same hospital 7 years ago.
The doctor joked that my son could have his appendix out at the same hospital...but then they never did an ultrasound or a cat scan to check....just said he was pre flu.
Monday morning when my son called saying his stomach hurt, I said, well it's not your appendix, as you were just at the hospital two weeks ago. So he took some antacids and tried to sleep it off. He has a high tolerance for pain, which probably isn't a good thing.
He went to the hospital around 2 am and was in pre-op by 4 am when he called.
On my way to the hospital now to see if he is going to be released today.
