The vet told my husband a few years ago the she would give him a discount if the 4 strays were fixed all together. My husband took them in telling her they were all boys. The vet brought 2 of them back out to the waiting room and said it would be a long time before they could be fixed and my husband asked why the Vet told him they were little girls. My husband face turned very red. The 4 strays became part of the family.
I do agree that cats are very special, my 1 boy cat and 1 girl cat laid on the bed with my husband when he was very sick and they laid with him until he died. They do seem to know when something is wrong.
When my cats were fixed they came home the same day. The vet gave me meds to give to them every day for a week.

I won't get mine declawed, I found out years ago they cut off their thumbs when they declaw I thought it was cruel, to each their own but that is how I feel. I did have past cats I had declawed but didn't know back then the vets did that.
