My gs had the flu and then went into viral infection.Had to send to specalist a few hundred miles away.He put him on predisone and something else.He had severe pain in his legs and just screamed.He is older tho and could tell us what was hurting.He became severely anemic because of this.Could not eat as he would throw it back up.This viral affected his muscles,your stomach is a muscle,your heart and so on.Anyway the predesone worked.He is still anemic but his counts are slowly going up.There are a couple kids that have died from this in the last few months in my area.He was able to hold something down the first night after taking predisone. 9|1|praying.......|cjdj|Lintaos@optonline.net|12:44:40|03/08/2011|

That is what I remember happened to Mads too. She was pretty sick and then she was terribly sick and it took a couple days of really terrible sick before she got better, so if he doesn't bounce back immediately try not to worry (impossible, I know). I remember her doc telling me that that was typical for RSV in babies.
