12 0|0|What Do You Think About Traders Who Copy Posts?|lovelyone|smwood1@yahoo.com|21:02:37|03/06/2011|

I know I can't be the only one that this has happened to so I just want to know your feelings. We all know how time consuming it is to type up all the information on the forms and then to have someone just copy your work really aggravates me. They don't even have the decency to change the format or even correct the words that I purposely misspelled in order to prove my point!!!! To top it all off, after copying your post, they then lower their rate and make the sales. 1|1|I think that's inconsiderate and rude....not much else to say about that. And it's common sense that the original poster will be irritated not only by the copying of their efforts to put together a concise and complete post, but to undercut and then snag trades on the toil of others is pretty selfish.|saint6811|waylan@comcast.net|21:39:37|03/06/2011|

I had one several years ago that actually posted in my same post that she had the same forms that I had and that they were cheaper. I privately emailed her and told her that I did not appreciate what she had done - that she could have at least started her own post. She emailed me back and said 'TOO BAD". She still posts on here - needless to say - I will never trade with her!

It brings up a question for me. Are our words on RS copyright RS or each of us? I think on most sites the words that are posted belong to the poster. If I was feeling onrey and such a thing happened to me, I might call the person out on it (probably beginning with email) and ask them to stop.

I quit selling on ebay years ago because so many of my ads were copied. It drove me nuts! I worked really hard at writing really good and interesting copy and I would find other people who copy/pasted and used it.

I know that is different from listing forms, but typing up all of that info takes time and your time is valuable. It isn't nice for someone else to take a shortcut like that. 4|1|I know of a trader on this board who constantly copies my posts....|hookedoncoupons|precisionplanners@yahoo.com|22:57:11|03/06/2011|

I sent her a message telling her I know she's doing it and to please stop. She never replied...she knows she's guilty.
These lazy, rude people make me really angry. It would never occur to me to copy someone else's post. I guess some people don't have a conscience or just don't care.

To add insult to injury, this particular trader had the nerve to undercut my price after she copied and pasted all the information that I went to the trouble of typing!

I have since made a note never to trade with this person who is notorious for plagiarizing other people's work.

You know who you are and we are on to you....stop it now! 5|1|A variant--posts with very few details, with an assumption that traders will find out what they from those who did all the work|mfrs|mfrs.sv.ca@gmail.com|23:22:16|03/06/2011|

Posts from, say, hookedoncoupons and bubbles are assumed to fill in the details. That's not fair, either. 6|2|I email the individual and give them my piece of mind|pattyo|pattyolc@aol.com|05:29:49|03/07/2011|

Under most circumstances, they will EDIT their post but I find it very inconsiderate and annoying. Definitely not fair and rude. I hope whoever is doing such sees this post. You need to post your own and use the time it took others to do so. sheesh

...this one person in particular has received a private email from me as well as others asking her to STOP copying our posts. She never bothered to reply, offer an apology or anything. She STILL continues to take the easy way out and copy other's posts.
It's obvious she just doesn't give a darn. So, people like her probably aren't going to change. Pity.

I am extremely detailed with all the information in my posts. I provide ALL the information about a form. It takes me a long time to type up all those details. It's maddening when somebody comes along and just copies and pastes it for themselves. Then lowering the price just adds insult to injury. I sit her shaking my head about the nerve of some people!

You know who you are. What amazes me is how little value you place on your reputation. 11|3|I, too, sent an email asking the person to stop plagiarizing...|hookedoncoupons|precisionplanners@yahoo.com|10:15:27|03/15/2011|

She never responsed to apologize or try to defend her actions.
The kicker is she had the gaul to recently contact me and ask for some forms!
She has a short memory or no shame or both.
I just replied that I no longer wish to trade with her. 8|2|Amen to that! I'm amazed at how many cryptic posts I see!|hookedoncoupons|precisionplanners@yahoo.com|09:04:40|03/07/2011|

You need to be a mind reader because so little pertinent info is provided about the form.
If I don't see all the critical information in a post, I pass right over it.
Who has the time to go back/forth trying to pry details from the poster?

Please....be thorough when typing info about your forms. Don't take the lazy way out.
I thought this was common sense, but I guess you can't assume anything anymore. 9|3|Honestly...Since You Asked.......|Heyushell|heyushell@aol.com|09:50:28|03/07/2011|

IT PISSES ME OFF!!!!
This has happened to me more than once...and when it happens the most is when I have P&G forms to offer and I list EVERY FLIPPIN product that is included (and we know how many that is) But I too purposely misspell words to prove my point.
Oh and those people...You know who you are....and so do I.

my work or pics are so good or complete they can steal my intellectual property. Though it is supposed to be a crime really I don't care. At least someone appreciates all the work I do though I know they would normally not email me a thanks though I did have one ask me and I said that it was ok. After a little laugh and surprise I just keep on going. Normally my stuff is priced low enough that they couldn't cut my price or hurt me any. Unfortunately most other people's ads have so little detail I would never find one I would consider worth copying! I just reuse and fix my own. Though I will not buy from a scantily clad ad. I buy from the person who gives me the info I need even if it is a little more because they did do the work which means they will do the work to get me my item more properly. I do not suspect that most people copy, probably only a minority. 12|1|Currently a similar situation on Refunding......|maraj|maraj64@hotmail.com|10:52:10|03/15/2011|

Only it's a post LOOKING for forms, but the person copied/pasted the list from someone's post who has them for trade, & then posted their own ISO those same forms. I'm not sure what to think....
