and he will be in for 3 days they say and he is having a nasal gastric tube put in
and his Mom and Dad will be with him to take the training to put the tube in and take it out after
feeding and this all depends if Cooper can tolerate this and if not then they will just put
it in to stay for 3 months.

He got in the hospital about 8 last night and at 10 they had the tube in and
Shelley said he was a little freaked out at first but then he realized that
he had to help to make it easier but his Dad did not handle it very well. Anyways they
got the tube in and he was fed last night thru the tube before he went to bed and they
started with 500 calories and the key is feed and go to bed and not work the calories off.
He woke up starving and ate a good breakfast.
The doctor wants the tube to stay in and only be changed out once a week on Saturdays and Cooper
said he was OK with that to go to school and that he could handle the kids and explain it all
to them. They will be putting a smaller tube in tonight so that should help some and it will
be held in place with clear tape. If this works it will only be 3 months thru his nose and then they will
put a permanent tube in thru his stomach.
He is an amazing 9 year old to go thru all he has been thru and I talked to him this morning and he said "MEMA I want
everyone to quit worrying because I know it is all going to work out and I just have to do what I have to do to
get better--He is trying to make all of us accept this and just let him do what he has to do.
So on that note I want to thank everyone for all the prayers and good thoughts and cards that have been sent
to Cooper--It means more than you will ever know.
