0|0|Talk about a crazy mishmash of weather!|maraj|maraj64@hotmail.com|08:54:57|02/21/2011|<center><font size="1" color="#000099" class="f_postedon">Posted on Feb-21-11 at 08:54 AM (Eastern) by 207.190.75.151</font></center><p>Since yesterday morning, we've been getting hit w/either rain, snow, freezing rain &/or sleet, w/the one constant being wind. Got about 6" of heavy, wet snow dumped on us yesterday morning in a matter of about 3 hrs. & it's been doing one of the above ever since. We're currently getting some light snow but looks like there might be some rain mixed in w/it. <BR>The power started blipping on & off about 6:30 last night & did that several times for about an hour before going off & staying off for an hour. I thought at 1st maybe someone slid into a power pole but since the WHOLE town went dark, I'm sure it had something to do w/the wind/ice affecting the main transformer. And I think everyone was doing the happy dance when it finally came back on cuz it didn't take long for things to start cooling down w/the wind whipping around out there. :(<BR>And to top it off, most schools around here are NOT closing today, only delayed 2 hrs. despite a nice array of snow & ice, cuz a bunch of teachers called in "sick" one day last week in protest to the Governor's budget proposal, so some schools had to close that day.<BR>What a mess! :(  <P><P><BR><a style="color: #6633CC; font-family: helvetica; font-size:12px;"><i><b>Fact of life: After Monday and Tuesday..even the CALENDAR says...<BR>W..T..F..<BR></i></a><P><p style="color: #CC0033; font-family: helvetica; font-size:12px;"><i><b>Please identify yourself in 1st email w/name/username.
