Father in law had a form of dementia/Alzheimer's ... he requested an autopsy and genetic profile so hubby has been dealing with that this a.m. Plus transfer of body, pathology, etc. It's been a long a.m.
My hubby, Stephen is SO lost. He and his dad were very close ... they did scouts together for years. Both were scientists/biologists so they always "talked shop" when they were together.
Anyway, I would like to have a sympathy card shower for my hubby. He's dealing with all of this on his own (I'm not much help with a raging case of shingles and pneumonia - in and out of hospital 4 times in the last two weeks).

It is with great sadness to inform you of the passing of Stephen Harvey's father, Dr. Stewart C. Harvey, who passed away on Sunday, February 20, 2011 at the Sunrise Senior Center in Atlanta, GA. Dr. Stewart Harvey had a PhD in pharmacology and taught medical school for many years. He was also highly involved with the Boy Scouts of America for over fifty years.
In reflecting on his life, Stewart repeatedly commented that the most satisfying contribution of his live was his involvement in the Boy Scouts of America, helping both youth and adults.
In honor of his memory, Stephen and Loretta will be creating the Dr. Stewart C. Harvey Memorial Scout Scholarship Fund, which will be set up at Fifth Third Bank. This scholarship will provide leadership training and camping scholarships in the local community. The family is asking that donations be made to the scholarship fund in lieu of flowers. More information about the scholarship will be forthcoming.
Both Stephen and Loretta teach at Shawnee State University in Portsmouth, OH. Stephen has been a faculty member for the Department of Natural Science for over eighteen years. His wife, Loretta, is a faculty member in the Department of Teacher Education.
