wonderful how peaceful this protest has been on the part of the demonstrators. SOOO many people without violence, without weapons, just so upset about their life and their conditions.

This is going to have major ramifications on life in the MidEast.

1|1|I think it's sad and sick. People died and the Muslim brotherhood is supposed to be stepping up to take power. |Kristy|mi3zons1@yahoo.com|12:44:31|02/11/2011|

on horses with whips hurting the protestors. These people are totally repressed. They have nothing. There is no freedom at all. They are constantly having to pay outrageous prices for the simple things. I don't think it's sick at all. The muslim brotherhood is not the originators of this. This all started b/c of what happened in Tunisia. And the Egyptians felt they needed to do something as well. There are others in line who might be President who aren't part of the brotherhood.

3|3|That's true but I fear the Muslim Brotherhood isnt' giong to be the liberty they think it is|Kristy|mi3zons1@yahoo.com|12:48:50|02/11/2011|

than what they have now. I've been reading a lot about their conditions..the average working person endures..and it is truly horrific. No rhyme or reason to anything including getting your paycheck, permits to work, etc...it can all be taken away from you in a blink of an eye for no reason. Horrific. People were just tired of the same person being in charge for 30 years with no end in sight. And then he said he would be passing it all down to his son and they hate him even more. Can you imagine living in that type of country. Yes, the people vote all have their own good and bad tendencies...but can you imagine..Bush, Obama, Clinton being in power for over 30 years and then passing it down to their children.

Freedom is a total gift. One this country had to fight for. I hope they get help in creating a democracy. 5|5|I hope and pray they get democracy as well but |Kristy|mi3zons1@yahoo.com|13:16:53|02/11/2011|

When you look at the other countries run by Muslim power they are far from democracy and freedom. I fear the worst.
Trust me I'm not saying what they had was good in any way shape or form but there are worse alternatives.

I'm not sure what you are saying since it was the Mubarak supporters who perpetrated the violence.|jilda|vze4gj4m@verizon.net|13:34:18|02/11/2011|

The protestors weren't violent at all. But when the Mubarak men came in with horses and whips and started beating on the protestors ..deaths happened b/c of Mubarak!

The army will take over and it will be hard. Freedom and democracy are difficult to attain but change has to start somewhere. 8|8|horsemen not only his supporters, they attacked being uneducated and not having jobs at the moment due to the foriegners being transported out of there. military yah thats good, we have seen what happened in Turkey when the military took over in the 80's, what happened in my other county of Algeria when we thought we were fighting for independance and the miltary and islamics took over|MyCat|mazashatat11@hotmail.com|19:20:57|02/11/2011|

like i said before, do not believe corporate media unless you live there or have loved ones there. i have lived through fighting for rights as an indigenous peoples of north africa in a so called democratic country. let me tell you about this, one islam is forced in school rather you like it or not, arabic is forced in school rather it is not your language of your country, then you start to loose rights because you are a woman, you are killed or tortured because you will not submit to converting to islam. this is what algerians faced when we thought we were fighting for freedom and independence, first the islamics took over now the military, now a president whom sold the country for oil to western and european countries and get rich while the population of algerians starve, you get killed or tortured if you stand up for human rights..while the whole world gets rich off your oil they do nothing for those whom are suffering. now tell me again where is democracy in an islamic country? all of them i have seen are dictatorship or run by an evil military

i welcome all whom think they know about this go live there for 2 years and see what really a blessing it is to live in the usa and have a right to chose your religion, be a woman, have a right to your real language without someone saying no you must speak this language, or even have a right to name your child a name which you want! yes they even control the names we give our children shame is it not
