1|1|OH that Passion Flower vine is SOO pretty. Do you think it would make it thru Michigan winter??|driller|harj@frontier.com|18:57:21|02/05/2011|

Very interested in getting a starter from it, if I can? I gather these can be started with the seeds?
Maybe I could collect the seeds at the end of season and re do the next? Does this die down like the
butterfly bush? and then re appear in spring? Or are the vines there like grapes? I just may have to google.. :)

I haven`t started thinking about any seeds yet.
Get alot from my brother in law. Usually can just get the plants. Much easier, as I do not have alot of
sunlight to start indoors. :(

I need a mini greenhouse, for starting plants, but was thinking of starting with just mini hoops. :) Is a start~

First of all, THANK YOU for taking the time to go over to my freewebs and reading my garden page:) The Passion Flower vine is a clinging vine so make sure that when you plant it, you'll want it to "travel" otherwise, you will have to keep cutting it back and checking for new sproutings. It easily sprouts. I have grown this easily by cuttings but by seed, you have to really baby it and sometimes it doesn't work.. Most of the time, it sprouts when it wants to. I get LOADS and LOADS of seed pods every year and probably have some out there right now if you want to try it for yourself or I could mail you the plant itself and you can hope for the best. Here on the west coast, goes dormant during the winter. The vine dies down. If ever interested in trying, please email me.. have a GREAT day!
