I've been wondering how they got all those cars off Lake Shore Drive....tell everyone to meet at their cars at a specific time? LOL. Hard to believe they would have towed all those out of there.

I can't believe so many people would dare venture out in that mess. They must not check the weather or don't heed the warnings. But yea, I wondered too how they got all those vehicles out of there. Did they have to lift them out w/a crane or maybe a helicopter? LOL
And WHY would people leave their vehicles w/the doors & windows open??? Sheesh!

I sure hope someone took the dog too, looks so sad. 8|1|Awesome pictures. Living in Buffalo, NY we've seen weather just like those pictures. We have a very heavy snow storm going on right now. If it continues we'll have a lot more snow. Snow on both side of the driveway are up to my chest. What a winter and it's not over yet. Shoveled driveway 3 times on Monday. Sure, we've gotten some good dumps in my 40 + years, but my mom has pics of the "BIG Snowstorm of (March) '59" where even the big graders struggled to get thru when that winter saw many feet of snow to begin with & then came the whopper in March that included drifts SO high, I kid you not, you could barely see the rooftops on houses! Farmers were trying to store their milk in any & everything cuz it was many days before roads were able to stay plowed open enough for the bulk/milk trucks to finally get thru.
My mom went into labor w/one of my sisters on the night of March 9th & my dad had to call the county for the grader to come out so my dad could follow it from their farm to the hospital. Then follow a grader back out to their farm after my sister was born (my mom & sister stayed in the hospital for the rest of that week).
Seeing those pics gives a person a new perspective & appreciation for how bad things could be. Ooof!
