I asked Mike about what I had read about them stearing away from dvd rentals and he says he doesn't understand how they could cause at this time what he gets put through his game system are only older movies He told me since I don't have a game system hooked to my tv I would have to buy this other piece of equpment hth 2|2|That's what Lance's friend told him....about the older movies and getting it to play through the tv...I dont really want to spend money on some equipment to make it work streaming through the tv, and if the dvd part of the membership is being phased out, will they start making the new releases part of the streaming package?|saint6811|waylan@comcast.net|16:29:00|02/03/2011|

9|1|Joy, Netflix streams on your computer,no extra equipment needed. In order to stream on your TV, the TV needs to be hooked up to the internet via XBOX,PS3 or Wii or Blueray Player or else it won't play. Netflix has older movies I do the streaming and 1 dvd out at a time for $9.99 plus tax. I just read that Amazon is coming out with a streaming program to rival Netflix.|Ranalt|ainebailey@gmail.com|17:38:54|02/03/2011|

i am the biggest computer dummy there is but here's the little i do know about netflix ... you can play the streaming movies instantly on your computer with no "extra" players of any kind (if you have the speakers and a fast enough connection). we couldn't get the movies on our regular dvd player so went to best buy and bought a blue ray player and can get the streaming movies on the tv now and we LOVE it. s 12|2|Joy & Teena -- CYE!!|cashcoll|cashcoll@yahoo.com|19:06:31|02/03/2011|

15|2|Tell Mike thanks so much, T :) I am thinking my tv may be too old (even though it's only about 4 yrs old, it's an LCD flatscreen) to work, with the way technology changes so quickly....heck, this is almost too much work to worry about it. :P|saint6811|waylan@comcast.net|21:59:27|02/03/2011|

21|5|We stream via our PS3. It's sweet... we don't even need the disc that they sent when it first came out. Your device must be able to be connected to the net though. We have a Wii too, but never enabled Flix there because we didn't want our son "shopping" for games. LOL. I don't like to stream on my puter... sometimes it can be herky jerky for me. But for the most part, I love the stream. I watch tons of stuff there.... including foreign subtitled films, Brit Coms and of course cartoons for the kidlets. Their stream offerings are growing decently at least.|Sara_s_Mom|IClipCoupons@gmail.com|10:14:53|02/05/2011|

you can hook up your laptop with some really inexpensive connection cable (think it was $4). you plug one end into TV and the other into our laptop and then log in

you can also go through your game system, which is easier

we got a ROKO for $45 and that was worth it. it comes with a remote conrtol and wasy to use

we have a flat screen that is 8 years old and works fine with connecting to net flix

have fun
