Very occasionally they will send an email out to specific buyers with a code, but it can only be used by that buyer.
You could go through quickrewards or something like that to at least get credit for the purchase (or mypoints, although I personally always have a hard time getting mypoints to credit my ebay purchases).
Or you could buy an ebay giftcard through somewhere that offers a bonus or a discount...our turkey hill here was running a promo around christmas time where you got money off your gas purchase for every $100 in gift cards you bought there...don't know if they're still doing that or not.

Ebay has been offering for the last few months $10 off your purchase if you take advantage of their "pay later" program. The only thing is that you don't get offered to take advantage of it until you have already bought something and you're going through the process to pay for it. I think they do a credit check too, so it's not a guaranteed thing to get even if you try to opt in. And to top it off, I'm not sure they're offering it to all buyers.
