There's no magic pills out there,don't I wish, but you could take Alli if you and your doctor agree that it's a safe choice for you. There's a few nasty side effects but it blocks fat from being absorbed from your body so you'll lose weight faster while dieting and exercising. Or for a natural method, sip green and black tea throughout the day or consider CLA supplements. CLA is a fatty acid naturally found in food that helps reduce ab fat. They are all dangerous and/or ineffective. I believe Alli is the only one approved by the FDA, but my DD has been taking it for the last 3 weeks and has lost a whopping 3 pounds so she won't be buying another bottle.
It always amazes me why people actually use products like Dexatrim, etc. and say they "work". How would you know if they work - LOL? but i say it works............i lost 8 or 9 pds the first wk i used it....i never had any of the side effects they say u can have
taking it..... 8|3|Alli is not the cause of any liver problems. There has been no proof. Ity does not work in the brain or the liver. Only in the sromach. The reason pople have been found more often on alli with fatty liver disease is because heavier people are prone to fatty liver disease and more than likely had it before they started on the alli. I have been taking alli for quite a while and wenrt off after losing a bit and fell off the wagon and gained and got back on.back on. I started taking it after my health problems to try to get the weight off and it does work but y9ou have to keep under the 15 grams of fat per meal to lose the wieght and if you eat fat free meals you won't see a result because there's no fat to block. Just don't screw up and take the alli because there will be consequences with a one room warning! And not to be crude but what you think is a fart just might not be! lol So alli is safe and alli does work very well. If it makes you feel better taking it get bloodwork done before taking it and every three months as you are on it. And don't take other meds or vitamins til about 2 hours after taking it and eating a meal with fat. They may lose some of their effectiveness. I don't get any effects because I follow the directions. Some of the otc diet pills have ingredients in them that can increase your blood pressure & heart rate so it's always best to check w/your dr. before starting/changing a diet regimen. Especially if considering otc diet meds.
Awhile back someone told me that the weight gain from Depo Provera shots is basically just fluid so I could buy some of the otc water pills & take those. When I discussed this w/my dr. he was strongly against my taking any kind of fluid meds at all because they're very hard on the kidneys, & I only have 1 kidney to begin with. Made me glad I talked it over w/him 1st. :)
