8|1|sending prayers for you son and all!|melpaul|Melpaul199@aol.com|18:44:02|01/17/2011|okay, just need to "talk" ... my son is in the army and is currently in iraq on his 2nd tour (he left this time when their baby daughter was 5 weeks and a day old!). anyway - getting side tracked. he is out of ft. riley - GO BIG RED ONE - but in a calvary unit now. they are stationed in mosul and had a tragedy there this week-end. an ia snuck live ammo in to a training exercise - not a live fire exercise though! - two soldiers were killed and a third injured. we just talked and he's a bit out of sorts (that is REALLY understating his condition right now!). he was on duty on the flight line when they loaded the caskets and it has been an experience that, as a mommy, i wish i could just "fix" for him. they had a memorial service and that helped him sort some of this out but ... please send prayers up ~ not just for him but for the families of the fallen, especially, and for all of our soldiers in harm's way!
