They are so lucky that there was not any traffic around them at the time of their accident or it would have been a multi-car messy accident. No traffic around is a rarity on the 40l.

That is so scary.I'm so happy they are all ok!! 5|1|Thanks for the kind words ladies. I just spoke with her and she said she is finding bruises everywhere, but other than being sore all over and the minor concussion, she is good. The police said it was good that the back end of the car hit the wall first versus a head on collision with the wall. Her friend and baby are doing well too. Baby is totally fine. Baby's mom is starting to experience more concussion symptoms so she is going back to the doctor's tomorrow.
Could have been so much worse.

Isn't it funny how sometimes God stops the traffic when there is to be an accident. It sends shivers up my back to think that it was all in God's plans for there not to be any cars when they were crossing. You know how some times when you hesitate at an intersection longer than you normally would and then another car doesn't stop and you think that is why I hesitated so long! I was watching TV one night, and there was a story about an accident that could have been averted, if the driver just remembered "NEVER ASSUME THAT OTHER DRIVERS ARE GOING TO DO WHAT THEY ARE SUPPOSED TO DO". The very next morning, I was sitting first in line at a red light, and it turned green. Those words suddenly popped into my head, and instead of automatically proceeding, I checked both ways. Sure enough, a car coming the other way was not slowing down for the red at all, and went right through it! It freaked me out that I had just heard those words the night before, almost as if it was a WARNING because it was not my time to leave this Earth. Now I always remember that you cannot EXPECT other drivers to always do what they are supposed to!! I think it is especially true nowadays, with cell phones and texting!!

We were first car at the red light at a very busy intersection. When the light turned green for us, not only did my DD not move, no one else did in any direction. No one in the car said a word. All of a sudden, a huge construction type dump truck came barreling through red light for him, screaming " no brakes" out his window.
In this busy, hurry up world,it would have been a deadly situation had anyone proceeded on their then green light. God works in mysterious ways, that is for sure.
