ok sooo we have unlimeyed text on my sons phone good right wellll I get my bill in my email and it is $556 and change after I get up off the floor I go online to see what the problem is I don't see aything out of the norm ( so I thought) so I call them and find out that unlimited to them is mobil to mobil( verizon) and you ge x amount free to others up to 5000 anything over that is .10 a text ds went over by close to 5000 yes you read that right lol Now how does the gf fit into this well she has only been around about as long as the end of my last bill cycle and it appears she does not have verizon ugggg
I will be selling my right kidney to pay the bill watch the auction board for details lol lol uggggg

6|3|The boys have unlimited text on their phones too (we also have Verizon), but they have to pay for that each month, as well as half of their line fee.....so total of $15 a month is what they pay for the priviledge to have a cell phone. plan with the co Mike has his with ( I think sprint) as he wants all the bells and whistles lol I just knew something funky was going on as for the last year except when Mom was using the phone at the nursing home the bill has been the same every month and on the bills there was no record of messaging it only showed up on the aug/sep bill so that is when it changed
Mike thinks that there may have been an increase and they just kept us at the $20 plan which was the 5000 limit one Now I have to wait and make sur eit only goes up the $10 difference rather than the whole $30

I will say tho that I do not miss my son's part of the cell phone bill. He's had his own now for a little over a year & altho it's connected to a former teacher's policy, my son's share is $65/month since he has all the bells & whistles of unlimited everything & web access.
But yea, best to check into things when they get a bf/gf as he/she may not have the same cell provider. When my son got his 1st gf, I upped the talking minutes from 500 min. to 1,000 & upgraded him to unlimited texting. I did it for my own protection so no "surprises" on the bill, but I didn't tell him about it so he thought he still had only 500 talk minutes & 1,000 text minutes. LOLOL

14|3|I have a cell for me and just use it for if the kids need me for emergencies otherwise I tried texting and it takes me like 20 mins lol. I am gonna add my 12 year old to the plan so he can contact me in emergencies as well I hope our bill does not look like that LOL. I do have like 2000 mins a month on it I think . Oldest teen is involved in drama and often needs rides at night. We wound up getting her a prepaid phone just for safety reasons. She's really limited in what she can do with it, but she can upgrade when she gets a job with a paycheck.
It is amazing how many 10 yr olds around here have expensive phones. To me that is nuts!
