Polenta
Neighbors left for an extended vacation and brought me a bag of food (cleaned out their fridge).
In it was a roll of Melissas Organic Polenta (still good till mid Jan). Never tried it so thought, what the heck! Followed the directions to slice it into 1/2" slices and fry it. I assumed it was just cornmeal but it smelled horrible while it was cooking...so, I read the ingredients (spices were onion powder, garlic powder and celery seed)...the smell I then figured out was those three things but mostly the frying celery seed. Well, lets just say it tasted about like it smelled so out it went. Now the house just smells funky! Glad I didn't pay for it!
So, Frozen Eggplant Parm. tossed in the mircowave was what I ended up having.
