It's a large mold. Tv had them for $20 but I got one in dollar general.

She has one of these molds... it is just a cake mix but you need to bake it longer because of the shape. She said the "cap" or top will get done first and she bakes the "base" or bottom longer... she sticks a butter knife in to see if it is done.

Edited to say: I am sure you could use any homemade cake recipe that is designed for a two layer size recipe, the same amount you would get out of a cake mix

If you scroll to the middle of the page, you will find ideas for the big cupcake. I am pretty sure that you have a different pan BUT the results should be about the same.
