Well, I haven't the faintest idea what a modem is :(<P>What do I do? Do I need to go to Best Buy or something?  Is a modem expensive?

2|2|A modem is the device that you plug a regular phone line into and then dials up the internet for you. I received it in two or three days.  So before you buy anything check with AOL and see if the will send you one free of charge.<P>I love my computer because my friends live in it.
