We're currently under a Winter Storm Warning but the tv is saying this morning that it will likely be changed to a Blizzard Warning by this afternoon when the snow & wind pick up more. Travel is NOT recommended & some roads may be closed due to the life-threatening conditions of below zero temps, dangerous windchills & zero visibilities. Windchills could be in the range of 20-35 BELOW zero. Yowza!
So far this morning we've gotten a little bit of snow & a glazing of freezing rain. We could see as much as 18" of snow by the time this is over tomorrow morning however.
And it was a toasty warm 30° here yesterday! LOL

I told him yesterday to gas up his car in prep. for the cold/windchills & STAY PUT. Sent him an email this morning alerting him to the potential Blizzard Warning, road closings & life-threatening conditions out there later. I told him NO good friend would want him to risk his own life for a stupid party that can take place at ANY other time, & that part of being mature & responsible means making good, logical decisions that ensure his own safety. Praying like a mad woman he heeds my warnings & that the impending Blizzard Warning will change his tune. Ooof!
I just came in from clearing last night's snow/ice from the driveway/deck/sidewalk. The wind is picking up already & there's some light snow falling.
Hope the squirrels & birds raid the food I threw out for them before it gets buried in snow again.....

I figure I can always clear my deck again & replenish the wildlife food there if it's too nasty to get much further. But if it gets as bad as the forecast is predicting, I don't think the wildlife will want to venture out of their snug homes either. LOL

It's now snowing to beat 60 & the wind has kicked up, already covering what I'd cleared this morning.
This should be interesting cuz my back windows are half-way covered w/ice from the freezing rain we got last night & my front windows are now getting smacked w/the blowing snow. Guess it won't matter how bad it gets out there if I can't see it. ROFL!!

I hope Galena isn't very far & I'm relieved to hear Cody's on his way home. :)
Glad our prayers have been answered for 1 of our kids. Let's hope our prayers will be answered for 1 more - mine. ;) CJ hates the cold so w/the wind added to it, I'm hoping that alone would be enough of a deterrent to stay safe & warm in his apt.
And I would think by now the others have noticed the snow/wind so that stupid party's been called off. I may not be able to see that good out my windows but at least I make an attempt to look! Geez!
