other than that the erie, niagara and mainline were all open. Remember they get less snow in Buffalo then Rochester and Syracuse. They just get it in bigger groupings.

from cars to shelters. Cars are either still there or are towed away at the moment. Don't expect thruway opening until afternoon, lake effect snow hit our south towns unbelievably bad. There's a town called Kenmore due North of the city and they didn't get a drop. We live in Williamsville and we just got about an inch or two, snow in driveway melted yesterday and right now there's just a light dusting on it. They are still digging out of the southtowns, got buried showed pictures of the snow storm, sure glad I don't live there, we live about a 10 minute drive from the southtown. NOw my son and daughter-in-law live only 4-5 minutes away and they got buried too in Depew, still can't get out. Kids were home from school and she wasn't able to get to work. And all we got was just a small amount of snow. We were so lucky.
Yes Syracuse gets more then Buffalo, Rochester does ok, family lives there, but Syracuse, Albany really get pounded with snow. We get the lake effect snow and it comes right from Canada right across the lake. And right now it's only 27 degrees.
And we would love to send some of the snow anyone's way. It's free for the asking!!!!

Right now, the track appears to be moving in a southeasterly line from the Twin Cities area but it can easily swing back around to ride the eastern underside of the Great Lakes. So ya just never know..... LOL
