Looking at the Kindle and Nook. Can't decide. Anyone have any advice?

Thanks!

>I have the Nook and it is the best investment I have ever made for reading

I personally think Barnes and Noble is easier to deal with than Amazon and if you have any problems with the Nook
you can just take it in and if not fixable they will give you another one right there on the spot and they are
very good about troubleshooting but I have not had any trouble with mine at all and have had it 6 months, the latest upgrade
they did is awesome and I like the fact that I can password it now and nobody else can get it and use it because you do have an
account with B&N and if it got stolen and you did not realize right away someone could go in and orders lots of books.

I also like the fact that I have connected it to the Local Library and I can check out books and read and it works just like if you go to the library except you do it all from your computer and this way you can save on buying books but I have downloaded a lot of free books that have cost me nothing and I am reading more authors than I read when I had to buy the books.

I recommend the WIFI-3G and the reason being is that you can download books anywhere as long as you can get a ATT signal. I sit outside in my car and download books and I do it at work right at my desk. WiFI only you will have to use the USP port at home or be somewhere that they have the hotspot.

THe new Nook that is in color is WIFI only and it really is not for reading books but it is good for magazines and the battery willhave to be charged about every 8 hours whereas with the one I have I only charge once a week and ready every day and night.

Hope this helps some

>I paid 199.00 for my WIFI-3G Nook and the WIFI is 149.00 and the new Color WIFI Nook is 249.00

You have to go to sites that have e-books and download them to you nook thru WIFI or 3G which ever you have

With the Nook you have an account with Barnes and Noble and they have e-books on their website and some are free and some there is a charge for and when you download a book if there is a charge it will automatically be debited against your debit card and you have to have one on file with B&N to download books and also if you have gift cards for barnes and noble you can enter those in your account and when you download a book it will be taken from the gift card. On my birthday I got 85.00 in gift cards so it will be a while before I actually have to pay for any book that I download as they come out of my gift cards

I read every day the Nook discussion board on Facebook and when good free e-books become available someone on there will let everyone know and then you can download the free e-book and Barnes and Noble has free Friday every Friday where they have a book you can download for free on Fridays only.

Nook discussion board on Facebook is a lot like general chat on RS.

There is no monthly fee for the Nook and your only monies spent after you buy it is for the books you download to it. Prices vary on the books from 99 cents to 12.99 and some are more but like I said there are a lot of free ones you can download

The best thing about th Nook is connecting it to your library and just check out books and read like you would if you went to the library and there is no charge for this at all.
