Made my turnips(with enough to freeze for Christmas) whole berried cranberry sauce, and chopped all of my veggies for tomorrow, including for soup, to make with leftovers, tomorrow night. also I have a breakfast here the morning after Thanksgiving, so I am baking the potato's now, for the homefries, to get that out of the way. Washed all of my potato's, for mashed, and sweet potato's as well. Next is pumpkin pie, lemon cream pie, and finally cheescake. All of this, to make tomorrow, more relaxing....LOL!!

1|1|LOL, I hear ya Donna.....I baked the Apricot Glaze ham already, sliced it and put it in the fridge, will just put it in the crockpot to warm up tomorrow. Got the veggies ready for the relish tray and for the stuffing. Made a bday cake for my nephew (his bday is today, but we will see him tomorrow). Potatoes ready to cook and mash tomorrow. Plates, silverware, serving dishes all located and washed, ready to use tomorrow. Making the whole cranberry sauce next. And Ive been cleaning house in between, finishing up bed sheets here in a bit. I baked my apple custard pie and pecan bars, toasted the bread for the stuffing, I roasted the butternut squash for the butternut squash soup I made the rolls so all I have to do is bake and prepped the veggies so all they need to do is cook. 1st came the sleet, & now it's light snow coming down...
A bunch of schools are closing early except of course for the one here in town cuz this one is crazy. Supposed to be a smorgasbord of weather hitting - wind, rain/freezing rain, sleet & snow - til late tonight, altho it wasn't supposed to start moving into the area til mid-afternoon. Ooof!

The baked potato needs to be cold, so I bake them ahead. Or if you want baked them alond side the Turkey, ham or whatever.
peel and dice the potatos, and put in a frying pan, with some oil, but not alot(I use canola, these need to cook for a while so butter does not work very well). Then dice a large onion, and sprinkle over potato's, salt and pepper to taste. Cook over medium hear turning every few minutes, until golden brown. Wicked easy, and SO much better than any restaurant, I have gone too.
Hubby loves them with leftover ham and eggs. HTH DOnna
