we have always had a house dog...she passed away recently.......so we got a new dog......my asthma seems worse........but i cleaned my dads house
yesterday.........since then.....on my left side...kinda under my upper rib......i feel like someone is stabbing me when i breathe......
of course i feel like im drowning......which isnt unusual.......i used advair.........
just wondering if that is my lung hurting/stabbing ...or what.........

I've always had indoor dogs.
Cleaning out your dads house might of done. If the pain keeps up,go to a lung dr.
He got me on the right track. PS, mine has been acting up some the past week.

it could be spasms your feeling in you body I get them all the time I have severe asthma too

Cleaning definitely triggers his, esp major cleaning with dust/particles. It sounds like you probably overdid it a little and need to slow down for a day or so and see if that makes you feel better. Hard time of the year to slow down, I know.
The other thing that helps him (and my daughter who knock wood seems to be outgrowing her asthma at 10, oh please oh please! :0)) is to sit outside in fresh cold air if they feel like they may be about to have an attack. When she was younger she would have attacks whenever she was otherwise getting sick, so I am really hopeful she may be able to live w/o the meds and such. It's such a hard thing to deal with.

All three of my children have asthma. They used to be 2 puffs of ventolin 4 times a day and 2 puffs on intal whenever they played sports.
Today, all three have their asthma under control and none of them currently takes any meds for their asthma. They do have their ventolin in case of an attack. Thank goodness for the long dated ventolin. They all hate the new replacement for it.

if i draw in a longggggg breath........................its like my lung hurts..and i do mean hurt....
usually when i first get out of bed...i somewhat feel like im drowning...until i drink my hot coffee and cough a few times...then im ok.....
but late yesterday evening...it felt like my lung hurts when i breath..and is worse today...
if its not better in the morning..i will go to dr...
no...im not coughing..alot..
my hub smokes...and i know that dont help me..guess i will see what next day brings...i took an antibotic earlier....hoping it will help.

pleura) that leads to chest pain (usually sharp) when you take a

we have insurance but of course they dont pay all........but it dont matter..i cannot afford to be down and out sick....

after being sick since labor day I read a book in the desk at my doctor and it said advair has lots of contraindications and concerns etc.
If you are allergic to milk PROTEIN (not lactose intolerant) you should not take advair. If it makes you hoarse, or if you get frequent sinusitis or a bunch of other stuff you should switch. I have been having pain, coughing, wheezing etc and I've been on prednisone and antibiotics this whole time in addition to using the machine.
The pain means you are having a serious problem no matter what it is. Your health is worth the aggravation of going to the doctor.
Just another note, I don't have allergies, always thought I did, went to a pulmonary guy on friday finally, took three months to get in, omg, he said I have always had intrinsic asthma which means there are many environmental triggers and the response may look like allergies but it's always an asthma attack. i went to dr yesterday.....after...one office visit....trip to hospital for xrays,,and back to office.....im told .....that my linings of my lungs are
swollen and inflamed......said it could be from breathing cleaning stuff.....(day before i cleaned for dad, i bleached my entire bathroom..)
i got a shot...steroids...was told to go home and take it easy......yea right...cooked last nite...gotta cook some more today....hope to go shopping tomorrow..
all in all........i am some better.......

i dont feel too bad now......but my lungs are still hurting.........hopefully a few more days and i will be ok......at least thats the plan
