Same thing happened when I bought mine, no dial up modem/port and when I asked I was told the same thing. Then the lady took me to a section that had accessories for laptops and they had the devices, depending on make/model etc they run between $40 and $80. Oh, this was at Best Buy.

Basically, you just figure out what size the SD card is (SD, mini or micro) then find the USB adapter that matches that size. Put the card into the slot of the adapter and plug it into your USB port. HTH's :)
