leery as I had never bought that brand before in pumpkin. I actually ended up buying libby's pumpkin there..was cheaper than the grocery store as there were NO deals I seen around here for pumpkin filling this year. Remember the past year there were those B1G1F cpns?..then the bad weather was to blame last year for little/no pumpkin crop..so this year they are 'sticking it to us' for pumpkin by the way prices are on it. But I cannot tolerate the Land O Lakes brand milk DG sells. It always tastes like it's on the way "out" to expiring or something, kind of funky, despite plenty of time til expiration.
I've had really good luck w/all their other stuff tho & no problems w/any of their "off-brand" or DG brand stuff.

But they also stock bags Old Fashioned Chocolate Drops at this time of year & I was surprised to see there were plenty of those left. The Amish usually scarf them all up to use in their own homemade candy.... So as soon as I see the OFCD on the shelf, I usually buy a few & freeze the extra bags til consuming..... They're yummy! :)

Sounds like my luck. I've been looking high & low for Sour Cream & Raisin pie filling. Used to be able to find it but not anymore. Mentioned it to one of the clerks in the store here & she got the attention of the manager who then wrote it down on his "order" list. Later I thought that now probably isn't a good time to be requesting any kind of special pie filling cuz it'll likely be pricier than gold at this time of the year. ;-p Duh me! LOL
Same store had canned pumpkin but it was $1.59 a can. Figured I'd check at the Dollar General & of course, they'd had it but they were cleaned out & all that was left on the shelf was the price tag saying it was a $1. Talk about rubbing it in. LOL Clerk there said 1 person had been in & cleaned them out of ALL their canned pumpkin w/in hours after re-stocking it. I should've asked if they could set a couple cans aside for me if/when they get more. Ach!

Lucky for me there is a store near my office, and I love it that they open at 6 am! I leave my house at 5:30, drive my 50-60 minutes and can do a little grocery shopping before work. The store and parking lot are virtually empty.
