I got a bad case of food poisoning in my early 20's. NOT an experience I'd care to repeat. To this day, I won't touch macaroni salad at all & am very hesitant to eat any kind of creamy salad (potato, etc.) type salads anymore unless I've made it myself.
Got sick last year from tater tot hotdish I bought at a Quick Stop. It used to be my favorite kind of hotdish but I haven't made it or bought ANY kind of hotdish/goulash from that place since. I'm thinking it was the grease that did it cuz the cook there evidently does not drain or rinse off the grease from the hamburger (I'm a stickler about draining/rinsing off the grease), & it didn't sit very well w/me.
I sure hope you feel better soon & I'm so sorry this happened, especially today. If you have some coca cola on hand, try sipping a tsp. of that at 15 min. intervals. I know it helps w/stomach flu, something to do w/the acid in it. I just can't remember if it needs to be room temp or not.
