I'm sorry Angie, that's awful. I'll be keeping my fingers crossed that it can be fixed and doesn't have to be replaced.

Hang in there!

for 2 days.
They got it working but it will only work when it is in the auxiliary heat.
The power co will give us a $300 rebate, and there is the $1500 tax credit
till Dec 31.We knew we had bad duct work. Got approve for a loan through
the credit union. 2|1|Oh Angie, I'm sorry....is it dead or just broken? Do you guys know someone who could fix it on the barter system? |saint6811|waylan@comcast.net|19:12:36|11/12/2010|

Heat pumps can be serviced most of the time. Very costly to replace so if at
all possible have a professional check it out~ Is according to how it was acting
up before it quit?? And usually there is a reason why it quit~

HTH`S :) 6|2|To bad we live so far away that is what hubby does for a liveing Just yesterday he had to condem someones unit :( He said the guy was funny as they had just bought the home 3 months ago and Gary told him the unit was finished and the guy says how come and hubby told him it was over 25 years old and the guy kept saying it wasn't lol|teener|teenerzacsneenee@yahoo.com|22:13:21|11/12/2010|

companies come out and look at it, they both said
it could be fix but will cost 3/4 of what a new one would.
ugh. Thanks for listening. 8|4|before u do anything...check into federal tax credits for energy pumps|BusterBrown|srfreezerqueen@hotmail.com|13:36:43|11/14/2010|

think the credit is good thru the end of the year....then check around for financing(many companies do x amt of days no charge if paid in full).....between the 2 incentives...while it is a pita expense...it may do wonders for your bills in the long run...J 9|5|My experience with the federal income tax credit. :( |driller|harj@frontier.com|21:21:29|11/14/2010|

I purchased a corn/wood pellet stove and was told I would get the federal income tax
credit, but when I went to fill out the form, I got down to a certain point and it
said I did not qualify~ STINKS I guess I did not have enough earnings for
the year to do it?
So be very careful about these income tax credits. I guess you have to be in a certain
income bracket before you will get the credit~ Even though you were told you quailified~
