Hi everyone! It's great to come back to RS and see so many familiar names. I've been away from the board for about a year and a half, but some of you might remember me from trades and swaps a few years ago. I've been doing well -- a piano didn't fall on my head or anything like that, thankfully -- I just needed a break. Last winter, between a very anti-coupon (and dumb and stubborn) CVS manager and general busy-ness, couponing had started to feel like a stressful job and I decided that that wasn't how I wanted it to be, and that I needed to step away for a while. I've since moved (from Maryland to northern Virginia) and am settling into a new home, and I feel like it's time for me to dust off the old coupon binder. What can I say, shopping is more fun when I'm making out like a bandit.
I hope everyone's doing well, and I'm looking forward to the wonderful trades and company here on the board.

in a little two bedroom, 1.5 bath townhouse. It's not big or fancy, but thanks to the help of my wonderful parents, it's mine. :) I've done a lot of painting but there are still several projects I want to tackle before I take a break. Hopefully I'll have them finished by the end of the year (knock on wood).
I wasn't sure I'd like living in VA, but thankfully I find Fairfax a lot easier to get around than places like Arlington or Alexandria (where the roads seem designed to inflict the maximum punishment on any driver who doesn't already know -exactly- where he or she is going!). We're literally a mile away from Alex's work now, and his not having a 1-1.5 hour commute each way has made a big difference to both of us. The downside is that it takes me an hour to get to my grandmother's house now (it was only a 20 minute drive before), but since I only go over once or twice a week and I don't have to drive during rush hour, it's not too bad.
