Sheesh! It's raining & the high wind storm moved in about 6:30 this morning so things are really kicking up out there. We're under a High Wind Warning til around 7 tomorrow night.
Last time we got a good wind storm like this I had a Chevy Cavalier that altho kind of small, was able to duck under/around the wind pretty good. Now I have a van so could be interesting since the news reports are NOT recommending travel for higher profile vehicles. Poo!

I remember the last wind storm we had like this 12 yrs. ago. Went to pick up my son from school & altho it was just a short distance (20 yds. maybe) from the school building to where I was parked, he couldn't get to the car cuz the wind was blowing him in the other direction so I had to run out to help him. I was laughing cuz it was just so crazy, but my poor son got upset w/me cuz he thought I was laughing at him blowing away. LOL
My mom has an appt. this morning but fortunately, it's just in town here. I usually wait in the van cuz it's just a chiropractor appt. but I'm sure I'll need to help her get from the van to the building & back when she's done so she doesn't blow over. Yikes!
A good day to stay in snug & warm at home, make some homemade applesauce & a roaster of scalloped potatoes & ham. :)
