Had me a serious coupon nazi when I was doing a grocery store mystery shop. She took every coupon and read each and every one individually. Then she sorted them into piles of the same coupon. Mind you I had them in groups of four as that's the store's policy is limit four of the same. She read each one anyway. Then she would scroll through the computer and make sure the item was on the list and how much it was. She'd then scan the coupon. I got 32 items and was in line for over twenty minutes. I had bananas, and lunchmeat pepperoni I didn't have coupons for. She was a lovely troll lol. She argued a bunch of them and I just argued right back. I used 2 b1g1f 7up coupons .. yes I had four of those. Then I got 3 Sierra mist and used a 1/3. She told me I couldn't use both. I said um try again they are different brands and yes I got 7 2 liters. LOL. I'm rotten. Suffice to say ooh the coupon nazi getting written up in my mystery shop. She kept telling me how jealous she was and how she wished she had the time. I felt bad for the lady behind me.

2|1|I am all for the cashiers doing their job, making sure the coupons are used correctly, but I think sometimes they get a burr under their saddle and decide to make it take forever, hoping we will just say "Oh forget the coupons, let's just get this done"....those cashiers dont know the tenacity of a couponer! Some of them are also just worried about their scanning/customer rate so when a customer comes along w/a load of coupons, it slows down their rate & some get icky about it. But it's their own fault when they don't get w/it & dally around going over the exact same coupons w/a fine tooth comb. Sheesh!

I never have a shop when the service is awful! There's a few Mcdonalds I would like to do a shop on lately. With bad service and coupon Nazis I always fight back or call the manager. Why not when you know you are right. Though my other half won't! I guess you got to be a female to be brave enough! Now when I go in shop and save all I have to say is "Jolene said so!" and the hassles are over! One time she told a cashier these people come here at least once a week and more. They know what they are doing. Don't hassle them! Many times the cashier will argue when you use more than one of a kind it says one per purchase and it means one per the item purchased as in not more than one coupon on each item. I used to feel embarrassed about trying to debate them but it is OUR money not theirs! At other stores that are bigger like target I think the turnover is more and the cashiers many are unexperienced with them because some of them you have to tell them to push this button, enter this, etc. Little stores sometimes the cashiers have to pay out of pocket for overages and coupon payouts that were not right. I would think that was illegal....
