I've had it w/the junk mail, junk phone calls, junk door hangers & worst of all, the constant bashing ads on tv. Politics has never piqued my interest much anyway but lately, I find it's actually a welcome break when the colon cleanse commercials come on. Maybe some of the politicians should take the hint! Hmph!

Seems nobody here is ever in much of a hurry to take the political signs down. I would think the ones who didn't win would want theirs gone right away, but have seen signs from both parties sit til they were shredded by sun/rain/snow/wind & literally down to the wire. But then again, it's quite often people tend to forget or are too lazy to take down their Garage Sale signs too.

Is there not a candidate who can run or win on their OWN credentials & qualifications w/out slinging mud at their opponent? I just got another junky election flyer type card in my mail again today & seriously, it was just bashing of the opponent all over it (even a pic of the opponent so go figure) w/very, very little info about the candidate it was on behalf of - just a few words which were even in very small print.
It makes me think elections have become nothing more than a bashing contest in which people are supposed to want to vote for the candidate who can do the most bashing. :(
W/the economy as it is, the candidates could most certainly put all that money to better use, do some good w/it for a change, help someone out who's down on their luck, instead of wasting it on crap!
And no, I don't even want to vote at this point cuz really, what makes one candidate better or worse than the other anymore??? They've all basically become human manure spreaders, just flinging it out of different barns. Voting is a privilege in which we're supposed to feel honored & grateful to have that privilege. I can't say that lately, I'm feeling a whole lot of honor or gratitude to be able to vote for ANY of the prospective candidates when all it boils down to anymore is having to choose between the lesser of the 2 evils.
