So I had these on my list to make this week before all the convo over the weekend... Dinner - Chicken and Dumplings - Original recipe makes servings for 8, I only make 1/2. With coupons and sales I think all of tonights dinner and desert comes to about $4- (IF that!) (\__/)
Super easy versions... The cake only has 2 ingredents! ANd the chicken and dumplings are made in a crockpot!
Cake: 1 spice cake mix & small can of pumpkin mixed together, spread into a 9x13 pan and baked 25-30 minutes @ 350.
Thats it! I had to make some cream cheese frosting I made this morning for something else (I was trying to use up 1/2 a large can of pumpkin left from pumpkin bread this weekend) that I spread over the cake.
2 chicken breast cubed - 1 can cream of chicken soup - 1/2 a small onion diced - I threw in a handful of frozen veggies
Cook on high for 5-6 hours - 1/2 hour before done cut up a 10oz can of pillsburry grands rolls (in the can) and put on top of chicken mixture. Thats it.
