I've made chicken soup but haven't been bold enough yet to try making dumplings again. Tried dumplings once & my soup ended up looking like I added beads of tapioca to it cuz they fell apart. LOL
My mom is the chicken/dumpling soup maker & I make chili, bean & ham or split pea w/ham, & then we swap. LOL

Leftovers from chili, hotdish/goulash, chicken soup, cream of chicken soup, lasagna, bean & ham soup, etc. always taste better when heated up the 2nd time for some reason. They do for me anyway. I don't know if it's cuz the seasonings have had time to aborb better or ?
I know leftover, stale French bread (day-old, but not moldy or rock hard. LOL) is awesome w/re-heated cream of chicken or cream of broccoli soup, any kind of leftover soup actually. LOL
And when I make chili, I always add some shredded cheddar cheese & sour cream to the bowl (NOT the whole pot) & it's even more yummy the next day! :)

So my mom's chicken soup has been a Godsend the last couple days altho I've had to kind of mash up the dumplings cuz it's been hard to swallow. Nice, hot soup & cool Blueberry Muffin pudding for dessert. :)
Stupid me thought I'd simply awoke the other morning w/a nasty stiff neck so had been using the massager on my neck & shoulders hoping to loosen up the muscles. Longest stiff neck I've had. LOL Finally went to dr. this morning & sure enough, that blasted tonsilitis again so got azithromycin for it. Made sure to ask him for a good, strong antibiotic to knock it out but one that won't mess up my pH balance. ;) It's already a little easier to swallow but it's the dickens trying to turn my head to look behind me. LOL

Gave the nurse a good chuckle tho this morning when I called cuz I said I'd been down this road before so was wondering if the dr. could simply call in a scrip since I was 99% sure what it was. She said he would want to see me. I said, "Why? He's seen me before so knows what I look like". She said she just about pee' her pants laughing over that one. LOL And then when I got in there, they asked if I'd taken my own temp to see if I had a fever. I said no cuz 1st of all, my head/neck felt warm so that's usually a good indication of a fever for me, & 2nd of all, the only kind of thermometer I had here was a rectal one & that wasn't going to happen! <:-O

ETA: I don't think it was ever used anyway cuz CJ was way too active for me to try getting his temp that way when he was little. LOL Had a regular, oral thermometer but it somehow ended up w/a chip in it so tossed that years ago & keep forgetting to get a new one.
