I am not sure why they are doing them on you as they have your set for a c section other than in case you should go into labor on your own just to make sur eit will be ok even for the short time before they could perform the c section hth

letting try sself stimulating contractions by useing warm wash clothes on your breasts and they can also use pitosin sp? They give you small amounts just to being on mild contractipoons to monitor you which they do by useing the belt around your belly which is hooked to a machine that monitors the contractions and Timmy's heart beat to see how he reacts They do not give you enough for it to be real painfull With my first son I was there for one a day before my due date and he just kept me there and fully induced me but I do not think that will happen with you as you have a ways to go and they don't paln for you to have a reg birth Did they say anything to you about giveing you a shot to speed up Timmys lung maturity ? They gave one to me when they knew Joe was going to be born early 4|4|I know they will give me a shot the day before for his lungs if they feel he needs to come before 11/22 when he would be 39 weeks and his lungs should be fine. I know actual vaginal birth is better for his lungs because it squeezes out the excess junk in them, but that is just not an option so we need to take as many precautions as we need.

Flat out ask him what he sees as a problem.
I had some contractions a week before my 1st came - they just strapped on the belt and watched her for a while and I had to click a button when I felt movement. They didn't think she was active enough, so they made me drink something sugary to get her attention ;) They did something similar when I was pregnant for the second. They just like to see how they're doing in there since you're higher risk.

The little man is already over 5 and a half pounds. They are very happy with him I asked when I should pack my bags for the hospital and they said now. They said to have them in the car whenever I come to the doctors from here on out. If they see anything they don't like they will send me across the street and put me in the hospital right away. They also say most of their mommies deliver early. Since it is a high risk clinic they tend to take the baby early then add any extra risk. This weekend we will be packing bags, washing the breast pump and its items and getting all the little things ready.
I told the nurse the problem I have been having finding a neurologist to see if it is safe for me to have an epidural and before I even saw the doctor (maybe 10 minutes later) they had an appointment for me set for Nov 5. She said it is cutting things close (esp if they want files from old doctors) but it is better then nothing. The doctor said when I called it was not considered and emergancy, but the doctor calling makes it more of a priority. They don't want to use general anastesia if they don't have to... Much more risky then an epidural.... I hope it work out! I asked today how long Jeromy would have to wait to see the baby if I have to go under and she said they keep the baby with the mom, so he wont see him until I am out of surgery. That will take about an hour.
Got some great new shots of him today. I am so in love with this little monster that it aint even funny!
