I like a cone filter (not to mention I have about 500 stockpiled) and they are somewhat harder to find. Plus I've got to have auto shut off cause I'm so used to not having to remember to turn the pot off. That limited me to a Kenmore (which after reading the reviews I decided not to get)or the same one I already had. Reviews on the same pot I had were still excellent...So I decided to get it with my Bed Bath and Beyond 20% off and then there was a rebate for $10 so I think I did pretty well.
Old one lasted 8 years. Hope new one lasts that long.

I'm not pleased at all with the new ones that have come out. They just don't seem to hold up like the reliable ones from 15 plus years ago. So much plastic now! 4|1|My mom's dryer was only 4 years old when it died, thought it was the timer, spent $100 to fix the timer, it was the timer but something else, so we had to go buy her a new dryer, stuff today is junk.
