I phoned and I was told that Cabelas put cheap stuff on the web, and ran out of everything very fast! By the time my order reached the warehouse, there was nothing left! Wow, I am so NOT impressed!!

Did anyone else have this happen??

I called and told them as a very long time customer( my DH is a huge fisher and has been for decades,) I was very unhappy with Cabelas. They are a well known store and I have never had a bad experience with them.
I canceled my remaining item.
I awaited a cancellation email. It never came. I called again, two days later only to find out that my order had NOT been cancelled. I got pretty angry, canceled the order yet again and then turned them into the Better Business Bureau.
I don't mind the fact that they canceled orders, but in this day in age of the internet and the economy, when a store posts a good sale online, they better be ready for the orders and act professionally. I place lots of orders that get canceled, but the companies have the decency to email and say your order has been canceled due to price mistake, etc.
No email confirmation of my order, ever. No emails back from the "contact us" at their website. No cancellation email. Had to call two days after the first call.
Meanwhile, they had my charge as pending for a week....had no problem there did they.
I told DH, he can start shopping at Bass Pro, no more Cabelas.
